I have a feature on Blood of the Muse called Collector's Corner in which I post autographs for the collectors out there. All of these autographs have been either done for me in person or come from a legitimate limited signed edition.

I've posted a new edition of Collector's Corner today highlighting recent Nebula nominee, Emma Bull.

Someday I may do something similar, but I really don't have all that many signed books.

I'm sure you've seen it before but this blog - http://speculativereviews.blogspot.com/ - has a great deal of info on collecting, including tons of author signatures. Unfortunately it's a dead blog these days.

Stego's blog has always been my biggest inspiration. The collector's info was wonderful, and when I started Blood of the Muse I wanted to add my little bit to that. If you're a collector, it's nice to be able to know if a signature in a signed book you bought is legitimate.

It may get easier in the future to attain signatures if I can convince authors to send me a scan by email of their scrawl. It's something I'll have to work on.

My review copy of Brandon Ford's Splattered Beauty was kindly signed by the author. And after recently reviewing the novel, it seemed only logical to post his signature.

Collector's Corner: Brandon Ford

Considering Splattered Beauty is a horror novel, I'm just glad it wasn't signed in blood. That would be so unsanitary. And I wouldn't want to have a book trauma cleaned!

Some more author autographs for those who are into that kind of thing.

Collector's Corner: Gregory Maguire My wife absolutely hated A Lion Among Men, and now thinks Maguire has lost it.

Collector's Corner: Peter David I've only read his comic writing, which is amusing. Don't know if that will ever change.

Collector's Corner: Kay Kenyon I have the first two books of the Entire and the Rose saga on my shelf. One of these days I need to read it.

Collector's Corner: Vicki Pettersson

Collector's Corner: Clive Barker Going to see Clive is always entertaining.

Collector's Corner: Mario Acevedo Props to the man which named his book Jailbait Zombie. Awesome name.[b]
