Overall, I thought it was somewhat good but not nearly as good as Gabriel's Ghost or Shades of Dark.

You thought correctly. Have you read any of Jacqueline Carey's books besides the first Kushiel trilogy? Now that I know I'll pick up the next two books I'm wondering how all her other books are.

I only own the first one sadly, which was good but I'll wait until I can afford the other 2 before I reread it.

Review of Childhood's End

This was a very interesting and thoughtful story. I can see why it's a classic.

Review of Inside Straight, the first of the new Wild Cards books edited by George R. R. Martin. I had a lot of fun reading this one.

Review of The Charmed Sphere, the first book in Catherine Asaro's fantasy series, Misted Cliffs (or Lost Continent). It had some problems but definitely kept me entertained from start to finish and made me care about some of the characters.

Review of Watchmen, which I read a couple of weeks ago to prepare for the movie. I loved it and can see why it is talked about so much.

Review of Moon Called, my second foray into the world of popular urban fantasy. Very entertaining, can't wait to read the next one!

Review of Blood Bound, the second book in the Mercedes Thompson series by Patricia Briggs. What a fun book!

Review of Blue Diablo, the first book in Ann Aguirre's Corine Solomon series (out on April 7 unless you find it in the bookstore a few days early like I did). It's very similar in style to the books in her Jax series so it's a light but very fun read.
