PostSubject: What I'm Reading   Tue Jan 20, 2009 7:00 pm

Since I review every single book I read, I'm going to use this thread to put up what I'm reading so everyone knows what reviews are coming up.

Right now I am reading Childhood's End by Arthur C. Clarke, which is my "challenge book" for the month. Each month this year I'm going to make myself read one book outside of my comfort zone. I was afraid this one would be really dry and hard to read, but I actually really like it so far.

I'm also reading some short stories in The Oracle Lips collection by Storm Constantine in between other books.

Books I've read but not yet reviewed are The Jackal of Nar by John Marco and Kushiel's Dart by Jacqueline Carey.

I just read Inside Straight, the first of the new Wild Cards books edited by George R.R. Martin, and a few more short stories from The Oracle Lips. Today I started The Charmed Sphere, a fantasy book by Catherine Asaro. So far, I much prefer her Skolian Saga series of space opera.

I bought the first two Kushiel books ages ago, but still haven't fancied them just yet.

So, I'll look forward to your review Smile

I can sympathize - Kushiel's Dart has been on my bookshelf for a little over a year now. It was so long; I thought it would take me forever to read it. I did really enjoy it, though, and would already have bought the next one if it had been available at Borders when I went last week.

Okay ... Darts and Chosen are now on the March TBR pile. After reading both your review, and Mulluane's response on another tread it's obviously a winner. Luckily I have a week off at the end of the month, so the TBR pile can be taller than usual Surprised)
