Does any particular debut stand out in your mind? Readers of my blog will probably guess several novels that I keep bringing up -- Clan of the Cave Bear and The Deed of Paksenarrion. I also really enjoyed Green Rider.

But what about you? Does any debut novel really stand out in your mind? And why?
