Hi all

I run www.myfavouritebooks.blogspot.com - I've only started doing reviews this seriously since last year March/April 2008 and have truly been fortunate in that publishers and authors have been tremendously supportive in that time. The site has gone from strength to strength and I've landed another reviewing job over at www.monstersandcritics.com - will work for free books.

I will shortly be running a UK wide competition for schools and school children, supported by various publishers - enter to win books! As easy as that. I've got some big boxes of books stashed at home as part of the give away. So I'm appealing to UK bloggers to help spread the word once I've got it up and running. I am thinking, tentatively, that all should be "GO" by the end of January, beginning February.

Apart from this massive comp, Mark and I have got some more interviews planned, specifically with some Black Library/Solaris authors and I'm keen to have a few publishers and agents swing by the blog to tell us what they do, apart from laze about, drinking Cosmopolitans and talking highbrow literature!

And of course, there will be more competitions, more reviews and more general media and book news as and when I catch up on 'em via my RSS feeds.

I think this new site is a truly clever idea and I look forward to networking, chatting and making new friends on teh internets!

Great to see you here Liz & Mark. I always TRUST your reviews, as I pretty much feel the same after I've read same books. And I've actually recommended books on the strength of your reviews [especially the YA titles] when I haven't read them yet but know they'll be appreciated. It's often the word-of-mouth books that are the real gems instead of the bestsellers eh. Unfortunately, I'm not a blogger or I'd be jumping to link to the Schools/School Children project etc. So, hope you get plenty of helping hands.
