My netbook is still not working properly and it's driving me crazy ... probably the reason why I read so much these days. In the past two weeks, in chronological order:

-Drood by Dan Simmons; it was just as great as I expected. I love this book. It took me a lot time to read, though - I picked Thunderer up on April 10th, so I was reading Drood for a week at least, maybe more.
-The Thunderer by Felix Gilman; better than I thought! Gilman has a really nice, almost poetic style.
-Nation by Terry Pratchett; given to me as a birthday gift (a hardcover!) and I read it in one evening. It's first of Pratchett's books I've read in 3 years and I was pleasantly surprised.
-House of Leaves by Mark Z. Danielewski; I wanted to buy this book for some time now and when I finally went to the bookstore to order it, I found it sitting there on the shelf. Ha! Loved it, too. I know some people were complaining about messed up paragraphs but it really wasn't that bad and they mostly gave additional emphasis to the story.

Next one is Blood of Ambrose by James Enge.

Read Blood of Ambrose, Scott Bakker's Neuropath and Kate Wilhelm's Where Late The Sweet Birds Sang.
I'm now nearing the end of Alan Campbell's Iron Angel ... too bad that after that one, there's two months of exams Mad

Ha! Not quite exam time yet, so I've read The Graveyard Book yesterday. I can see why people love it.

Haven't been here for a while (as said, exam time) ...

In the meantime, I've read Dan Simmons' Song of Kali, David Anthony Durham's Acacia, Matthew Woodring Stover's Heroes Die (this was a re-read), Blade of Tyshalle and Caine Black Knife. So much about no reading during exam time. x)
