I've got the first edition hardback of Shadow of the Wind ... still unread!! I originally bought it because of the comparisons to Gabriel Garcia Marquez's 100 Years of Solitude which I loved even more after a reread (even though the same named characters took a bit to get my head round). I'll have to put it on next months TBR pile.

Blah, 100 years of solitude weren't really my cup of tea, even though I did try very hard. When there was a third or fourth generation of kids, with the original characters long gone and forgotten (I really don't like that in books).

I also have Shadow of the Wind (translated into Slovenian, though) waiting on the bookshelf since August - I guess it's time to read it, though
